Young Design Studio has assisted with schematic designs for Tall Oaks West; a new multi-venue event development in Sheffield Village opening in 2024. The development includes renovations to an existing 13,000 sf Gatehouse building which will house 3 distinct bar/restaurant spaces with expansive patios. Facing the new 8-acre Lake Oliver will be the Grand Barn. Seating up to 330 guests, this structure will mimic the existing Grand Barn at Tall Oaks East in Kirkland, Ohio. Finally, YDS has been engaged to complete designs for the Island Barn – an intimate event space for 125 situated on an island in Lake Oliver. The barn structures will be constructed with traditional timber-framed mortise and tenon joinery, giving the spaces all of the ambiance of a historic barn structure, but with the comfort of modern amenities.
