The team behind Ninja City Kitchen and Bar tasked us with reimagining their existing space in Gordon Square with limited strategic interventions that could be implemented on a tight timeframe. We pushed them to think beyond finishes and furniture, proposing a new screen wall clad in shou-sugi ban charred wood that brings new character and seating options, while also creating some much-needed service space. We layered textures such as perforated cladding and new lighting to give the space completely new glow, while dramatic velvet curtains soften the storefront.
